Om utställningen 2020
Att vara illustratör är en inre och en yttre resa som pågår varje dag, hela livet. Under femton veckor har vi skissat, ritat och reflekterat kring egna och andras bilder. Fokus har legat på att skapa eget innehåll, kombinera traditionell och digital kunskap. Just nu händer det mycket inom ämnet illustration, det rör på sig, bilder blir interaktiva, tekniken ger nya möjligheter. Vi lever i ett bildsamhälle och aldrig har det varit viktigare att arbeta med bildkunskap, belysa hantverket och aktivt jobba med syfte, mål och mångfald i bilderna. Tack alla deltagare för att ni har delat med era av egna erfarenheter och reflektioner och visat mycket mod.

About the exhibition 2020
During this course we have explored illustration as a life-long inner and outer journey and focused on the fusion of tradition and new digital solutions. Students have worked with sketches and have created lots of drawings; they have also reflected critically upon their own work as well as on images created by other illustrators. Illustration is undergoing many changes today and digital techniques offer new ways of working while exposing us to thousands of images everyday; in this context students have embraced the importance of creating images with message and meaning. I would like to thank all the students who have shared their own experience, their skills and their views of the fantastic world of illustration!
